HERD SIRE: BEAR CREEK JACKSON 088F

BEAR CREEK JACKSON 088F            2033365             APRIL 14,  2018

When I walked the bull pen  with Chad Weiss, Bear Creek Jackson 088F was an absolute standout and I knew where our next herd sire was coming from. We purchased Jackson as the high selling bull out off the Top Cut Bull Sale in Maple Creek in 2020. Jackson is a well muscled smooth shouldered bull with plenty of length and thickness. He has the look of a real performance bull, is sound footed, and moves like a cat.  He will add some frame and muscle to your market calves. His Net Worth Dam was one of Chad’s top cows and his replacements daughters are looking great. He sells April 22 in Virden as part of the Black Creek Dispersal.

HERD SIRE: YOUNG DALE BELIEVE 63D

YOUNG DALE BELIEVE 63D    1907366      January 16, 2018

Believe 63D is a direct son of Young Dale Believe 46B, the high selling bull in Canada for 2015. When our flagship sire Bear Creek Stoney 55D went down after servicing one cow in 2020 we were in a panic to find a replacement. We were able to find 63D and he seems to have lived up to his Dad’s reputation. Believe has 7 sons in our bull pen this year. They have eye appeal, will be easy calving,  with length and shape but won’t give up on performance. We used 63D this past spring in our heifer pen and his calves are on the ground now and they look really good. We sold Believe in June where he went to work on another herd.

HERD SIRE: EASTONDALE THUNDER 31F

EASTONDALE THUNDER 31F         2047850           February 12, 2018

We purchased Thunder from Dale Easton at his  2019 Bull Sale. We used him on our replacement heifers in 2019 and again in 2020. His bull calves are super long deep with that extra hip yet with his moderate birth weight he maintains calving ease. 31F has 3 sons in our 2022 bull pen, daughters in the dispersal sale and replacement pen. We sold Thunder to Jeff Elliot/Chapman Livestock in April 2021

HERD SIRE: DFCC 107D HECTOR 63H

DFCC 107D HECTOR 63H         2152588           February 07, 2020

Hector was one of the top selling bulls at the Double F Cattle Co. Bull Sale last March. Kelly thought this Bar E-L Strongbow bull was a show stopper and recommended him to anyone that was seriously looking for a “Game Changer” herd sire. We used him extensively on our first calvers and a good cross section of other cows. I like the look of his calves. There is a very strong pedigree package here and just maybe Kelly was on to something.  Hector 63H sells April 22 as part of the Black Creek Dispersal in Virden.

HERD SIRE: BLACK CREEK WIDESPREAD 014H

BLACK CREEK WIDESPREAD 014H    2157448     January 28, 2020

If a bull is good enough to sell then it better be good enough to use in your own program. 014H was a standout in our 2021 pen and we jumped at the opportunity to retain him. His Sire 631D  exceeded our expectations with a Merit Pride 3101 Dam, giving us the much anticipated   Widespread/Emulation Ext /HF Prowler cross.  014H is a well made, good dispositioned herd bull. He has loads of hair, lots of bone, and he is clean fronted with extra length. Dam 26Z is  big barrelled long bodied and always raises a keeper. Widespread 014H calves hit the ground this spring with calving ease, lots of vigor, and are easy to spot in the pen. Black Creek Widespread 014H sells April 22 as part of the Black Creek Dispersal.

HERD SIRE: OSSAWA VALLEY 29E

OSSAWA VALLEY 29E        1960614        December 02, 2017

We purchased this SAV Angus Valley grandson to use on our commercial cow herd. He has given us 2 calf crops without any issues. He is very sound at foot and has proven to be a very efficient breeder. We used him on a few registered cows in 2021 and he has a few calves in the dispersal. He has the look of a herd sire; however, his Calving EPD’s are really extreme. He gave us 8 pure bred calves this year with average BW of 87. He has sired over 50 commercial cows and we never had any problems. I feel he can add value to a commercial herd.  Angus Valley 29E sells April 22 as part of the Black Creek Dispersal

HERD SIRE: GUILDFORD HOMETOWN 17F

GUILDFORD HOMETOWN 17F       PB Not Registered           February 20, 2018

We purchased Hometown last spring to use on our black commercial cows to get the highly sought after white face black baldies. This is one excellent big strong bull. He is an excellent breeder, very sound at foot and has a very good disposition. He is as good looking as his photo and can have a real impact if you are looking for a Hereford bull. Hometown sells April 22 as part of the Black Creek Dispersal but without papers.
