HERD SIRE: BEAR CREEK STONEY 55D

BEAR CREEK STONEY 55D             1932228              March 31, 2016

When I walked the bull pen  with Trent, Merit Stoney Creek 4023 was an absolute standout, but would be well above our affordability. When we seen his sons at Bear Creek Angus we knew where our next herd sire was coming from. We purchased Stoney as the high selling bull out off the Top Cut Bull Sale in Maple Creek in 2018. Stoney is a well muscled smooth shouldered bull with plenty of length and thickness. He has the look of a real performance bull, is sound footed, and moves like a cat.  He will add some frame and muscle to your market calves and his replacements daughters are easy fleshing and docile much like his Density Dam. The Black Creek Stoney 55D sons were a hot item in last year’s pen.  Stoney has 8 sons at our Bull Pen: TAG # 16, JGB  005H and TAG #17, JGB 015H and TAG #18, JGB 021H and TAG #19, JGB 023H and  TAG #20, JGB 025H and TAG #21, JGB 026H and TAG #22, JGB 028H and TAG #23, JGB 047H.

HERD SIRE: BLACK CREEK WIDESPREAD 631D

BLACK CREEK WIDESPREAD 631D    1902925     February 06, 2016

Black Creek Widespread 631D was purchased @ the 2017 Douglas Bull Test Station Bull Sale by P.T. Murphy Farms. The Murphy’s dispersed their cow herd in the fall of 2018 and we jumped at the opportunity to bring 631D back home to use in our program. His Merit Pride 3101 Dam is one of our top cows and the Widespread/Emulation Ext /HF Prowler cross exceeded our expectations. 631D is a well made, good dispositioned herd bull. He has loads of hair, lots of bone, and he is clean fronted with extra length just as his sons are shaping up to be. Unfortunately 631D had a testicle stepped on after the 2019 breeding season that has ended his career.  Widespread 631D has 3 sons on offer:  Tag #28 JGB 014H, and Tag #29 JGB 016H, and Tag #30 JGB 083H

HERD SIRE: EASTONDALE THUNDER 31F

EASTONDALE THUNDER 31F         2047850           February 12, 2018

We purchased Thunder from Dale Easton at his  2019 Bull Sale. We used him on our replacement heifers in 2019 and again in 2020. His bull calves are super long deep with that extra hip yet with his moderate birth weight he maintains calving ease. Thunder 31F has has four sons in our bull pen: Tag #24, JGB 007H and Tag #25, JGB 011H and Tag #26, JGB 034H and Tag #27, JGB 038H.
